Vintage year restaurant

Vintage Year first opened as the Chophouse at Vintage Year in , and after closing for a season, was reopened by new owners Derk Lyerly and Jud Blount on January 5, In addition to dropping Chophouse from the name, the owners have also changed the philosophy of the restaurant—creating a new history in the process. Vintage Year began as a wine shop, but eventually started serving patrons gourmet lunches to go with their wines.

Garner is working with investors to renovate and reopen the restaurant with a target date in late October. Chef Gary Garner, the incoming chef and part owner of The Vintage Year, is set to return to a place where he once spent more than a decade. But with the recent announcement of Garner as the one basically running the place, the vision for the Cloverdale mainstay is becoming clear. The trio, along with General Manager Chase Brown, are working to bridge the past with the present.
